Privacy policy

Who we are

Illinois Valley Web Design is a web design company based in Ottawa, IL. If you have any questions about this policy, call or text 815-481-1746 or email tim@illinoisvalleywebdesign.com.

What we collect

When you fill out our quote form, we receive your name, your phone number, and anything else you choose to give us: your email address and a note about your business.

When you call, text, or email us, we receive whatever you share in that conversation.

When you visit the site, Google Analytics records general information about the visit: which pages you looked at, what kind of device and browser you used, roughly where you are (city level), and how you found us. This doesn't tell us who you are.

How we use it

• To reply to your quote request and work with you on your website
• To see which pages are helpful so we can improve the site

We never sell or rent your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list without asking.

Spam protection

To keep bots from flooding our quote form, we store a scrambled, one-way version of your internet address when you submit the form. It can't be turned back into your actual address, and it's deleted automatically within 24 hours.

Who else handles your information

We use a few trusted services to run the site. Each one only handles your information to do its job for us.

• Web3Forms delivers quote form messages to our email inbox.
• Google Analytics measures site visits. You can read Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
• Our hosting provider keeps standard visit logs to keep the site running and secure.

Cookies

Google Analytics uses cookies to count visits. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works the same either way.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and messages for as long as we need them to serve you. If you'd like us to delete yours, just ask.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Call or text 815-481-1746 or email tim@illinoisvalleywebdesign.com, and we'll take care of it.

Children

This site is meant for business owners and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
